The Conference will see the launch of Chinametrex, Aerometrex's partner company servicing the China mainland with aerial survey services and mapping. Aerometrex announces the winning of a major project for the Queensland Government, to be administered by the Dept of Natural Resources and Water on behalf of the Environmental Protection Authority. The project is aimed at monitoring of the Queensland coastline from Urangan to St Lawrence, using high-resolution and medium-resolution digital aerial imagery. The project will be flown during July 2008.

Aerometrex announces that it has won a substantial amount of digital aerial photography work in the Northern Territory. The contract, for the NT Dept of Planning and Infrastructure and its client FACSIA, is well underway and will cover approx 33 sites in the Top End with high-resolution Ultracam aerial imagery. The imagery will be used for a variety of applications including DPI's mapping programmes, infrastructure development and Aboriginal community mapping. A number of mining company clients have utilized our presence in the area to commission other work. Please let us know if you have an NT project that needs aerial imagery.
