Several Managers of the Aerometrex Group will be attending the InterGeo 2009 exhibition held in Germany from the 22 to 24 September 2009.

On Friday night 14th August 2009, Aerometrex took out the SA Spatial Excellence Award 2009 in the Category of Infrastructure and Construction, for the Aerial Survey of the Northern Expressways.

Aerometrex also won a SASEA award last year (2008) for its Metro Adelaide Orthophoto Coverage.

Aerometrex's General Manager Mark Deuter was pleased to receive the award from Grant Higgins, the event sponsor from CR Kennedy.

The Northern Expressways Project (NEXY) is a State Government project managed by the Department of Transport Energy and Infrastructure (DTEI) to build a new freeway system through Adelaide’s northern urban fringe, linking Gawler in the North with the New Port Wakefield Road (Northern Connector) and the Port River Expressway and the Southern Expressway.

The project is the largest infrastructure project undertaken in Adelaide since the 1960s and has a high political and social profile.

Aerometrex has won 3 DTEI tenders to conduct very high-resolution aerial surveys and to provide engineering-quality DEM, orthophotos and 3D GIS data for a series of these projects, and has completed each project on time and on budget.

The projects are:

- Northern Expressway (NEXY) Project

- New Port Wakefield Road Project

- South Road Wingfield Project

These projects are very important to the development of the State and Aerometrex is very pleased to be able to make its contribution to their success.
