Short Courses
AEROmetrex offers short courses “on-site” at your international location.
These courses are a combination of theory and “hands-on” practicals;
covering the many digital mapping subjects. Via a strategic alliance with several industry partners,
plus the Flinders University of South Australia, AEROmetrex combines it’s own “production-hardened”
skills and knowledge to offer specific and valuable courses.
These courses are offered as either 2-day, 5-day or 10-day courses, on YOUR location.
Courses:
2-day courses
More suited to planners/managers – could involve managers sitting in on ‘case studies’ component of
5 day course.
5-day courses ‘applying tools to specific issues’ comprising
Theory – concepts, underlying principals
Case studies – demos
Exercises – hands on applications to reinforce theory
We offer a range of topics/subjects/modules within expertise of group.
Provide a choice of modules: Remain flexible on modules
10-day courses – or follow up on identified issues following 5 day courses.
After five days individual needs will start to diverge and become specific.
Second week more project focused - Supervision of specific project/s.

Spatial Data Capture & GIS Integration
Course Outline
The objective of this course is to introduce participants to a more in-depth understanding of
a range spatial data collection strategies including portable GPS solutions, digitising, remotely
sensed data and aerial photography. The application, advantages and disadvantages, data input and
editing procedures are also discussed.
Audience: The course is intended for participants who have already undertaken an Introduction to
GIS course or who have a basic understanding of GIS principles and the ArcGIS environment.
Prerequisites
• Familiarity with Microsoft applications (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel etc)
• Introduction to GIS course or basic understanding of GIS principles and the ArcGIS environment.
Duration: Five days
