We are in the process of generating an aero3Dpro virtual 3D city model of Adelaide CBD.
In this post you will find a collection of aerial oblique imagery of new building developments as well as other interesting architectural, heritage buildings within Adelaide CBD.
Check out how aero3Dpro 3D models of North Adelaide and Carrick Hill, South-Australia look like in Google Earth. Having access to additional layers of information and street-view makes the experience very enjoyable. I’m confident that what we do right now at a small scale will be the norm in the near future. Google is already on the way with their new 3D imagery. Read more
New Royal Adelaide Hospital and South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute aero3dpro model update
Two aero3dpro 3D models of the new Royal Adelaide Hospital and South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute construction sites have been acquired and generated on the 7th September and 19th December 2012.
The pictures below show the comparison between these two photo-realistic and geographically accurate 3d models. It is now possible to observe a same area from virtually any location in space and allow accurate three dimensional change detection.

A Digital Elevation Model (DEM) is generally a file containing elevation values representing the terrain height over a specific area of the earth. A DEM can be a raster file: in this case each record is a 3-dimensional element usually associated with geographic coordinates at a fixed grid interval. The denser the grid, the more information the digital elevation model will possess and the more variation in the terrain will be recorded. A DEM with an irregular grid is called a TIN DEM (Triangular Irregular Network) and can be the result of direct 3D point measurements. Read more
